Up until last week, our meetings online in this area were untouched by the disruptions known as “Zoom Bombing.” Unfortunately, the “bombers” have found us and while we have had Zoom Security information on our Website for a few weeks (instructional video and PDF printout), Ben (Chair of your Intergroup) and I (Web Chair of your Intergroup) will be holding Interactive Zoom Security Workshops/Webinars on the following dates and times:

Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 am

Sunday, May 10 at 3:00 pm

Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 pm

These Workshops will afford you hands-on training and preparation for the event, if it were to happen, if your meeting were to have disruptive intruders. You will learn the need for meeting security settings, co-hosts are our friends, why a waiting room is important, why disabling chat is also important and how we can protect ourselves and our participants to the best of our ability. Remember: We said we would go to any length for victory over alcohol!

Please forward this invitation to anyone in your group or anyone you think would benefit from such a training – we are holding it in a “big room” so many can join us and hopefully pass along the information and awareness.
